Chickadees Classroom (wobbler toddlers)
The Chickadee classroom is the youngest age group starting at fifteen months and ending at twenty-three months. During this time children show a rapid growth of development as they develop attachments, express and sense the emotions of themselves and others, engage in different stages of play, develop communication/language skills, obtain stronger muscles necessary for large and small motor movements, and display a general curiosity for the world. The Chickadee classroom teachers, Ms. Anna and Ms. Wendy, believe in forming strong bonds with the children in their care. Strong attachments help the children feel safe and secure within their environment, which allows them to explore their surroundings with independence and confidence. The Chickadee curriculum is based around the interests of the children and supported with age-appropriate activities, songs, stories, and sensory experiences.
