Belchertown Day School Staff
Each classroom in
the Day School has three staff: A Lead Teacher, Teacher and
Assistant Teacher. In our School Age Programs, the children are
divided into groups by age; each group has a Group Leader and an
Assistant Group Leader. Belchertown Day School is
takes pride in the fact that we have staff who have been with the
agency 10, 20 and 25 years. The staff at BDS is dedicated to
contributing to children’s education and working in a partnership
with parents and caregivers to help raise youngsters to be well
rounded children.
Doreen A.P.McDonald
is our Executive Director.
Doreen has many years in the education field. Her teaching career
started in specials education and she has taught high school, middle
school and elementary levels. She also has a strong background in the
Early Childhood Education and business fields. Doreen is a graduate of
Westfield State College. Doreen can be reached at doreen@belchertowndayschool.org.
Pat Bruni is our
Associate Director
Pat oversees the Preschool and Toddler programs. She
has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from
Springfield Technical Community College
and 30 years of
experience working with children 15 months to 6 years old. Pat started
her career at Belchertown Day School in 1983. She left for a while to stay
home and raise her two children. She returned to the agency in 2007.
Pat also oversees the enrollment of children in these programs. Any

Katherine Rock
is our School Age Administrator
Katherine oversees the Before School Program, the Afterschool Program and
our Summer Program. She is a graduate of Bay Path College. She is licensed
through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care as a Lead
Teacher at the Preschool level and through the Massachusetts Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education for grades 1 – 6. She has enjoyed being
a mother to three children of her own, and working with children of all
ages and their families for the past 15 years. Questions regarding any of

Kelly E. Tiedemann
is our Business Office Manger.
A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a Masters Degree in
Community Economic Development, Kelly brings her passion of working with
non-profit accounting to the BDS team. As a long time social worker and
mother of one, Kelly has the unique talents necessary for working with BDS
families while maintaining the business end of our organization. Tuition
